Say Sayonara to SCIATICA PAIN TODAY!!!!!!!!!!!
Today I woke up and had only a small amount of sciatica pain. I would say it is a 4 out of 10, the smallest amount it has been in almost two years. I am taking Topiramate and I don't know if that is the reason or if it has something to do with having had retinal surgery on Friday. My eye really hurts and is burning. Maybe my brain shifted my pain center or something weird like that but hey, I'll take it!! It is so wonderful not to be in excruciating pain when I walk!! I am not able to exercise until the air bubble in my eye disappears, probably in a few more days. Without the Sciatica pain, my PD is not as bothersome. It is always there but when the Carbidopa is working it is so manageable!! I went for a check up with my retina specialist and he said that everything looked great with my eye so that was good news!! I actually walked up two flights of steps to get to the eye doc's office!! I have not chosen to walk up steps in close to two years!! I felt almost like a normal regular person!!
I remembered to take all of my meds on time today and I have to say that except for a few small double take steps today, my PD was extremely well behaved today! I slept for 4 hours straight last night and that is a really long time for me. Then after about 30 minutes I fell back to sleep again for a few hours! It was almost as if my brain told PD to give me a break because I am dealing with my retina issues! I happen to run into my friend Jackie when I was leaving the retina specialist's office and she told me that she thought I was walking very well! She offered to drive me to my car because she is so nice and my friends know how painful walking is for me. But I told her that I was fine walking today!! I am trying to remain positive in life so that I maintain a positive outlook on my health and well being! I've lost a few more pounds and that always makes me happy!
