LAST DAY OF VACATION!! Parkinson's and Sciatica are getting back on the plane with me.

        On our last day in Jacksonville, we headed to an old time, supposedly authentic, jail in ST Augustine. I was hoping that the warden could lock up PD and Sciatica and I could leave them there! No such luck!!  Once again they followed me wherever I went! When we got up, showered and dressed we all first went to the wax museum in ST Augustine.  (ANd of course, we had to stop for breakfast sandwiches on the way...…….ALWAYS about the FOOD)



The curator told us that every figure is built to authentic size and measurements.  Angelina Jolie seemed so tiny, on screen she seems tall! Britney Spears looked like a crack addict, I think she is pretty in real life but her wax figure was hard looking! After the wax museum we headed over to the historic jail!  For some reason, guides always choose Olivia to prank!

When we were inside the jail, the jailer guide asked Olivia to come over and see the special ingredient they put in the criminals' food.  She looked down and he pulled a large stuffed rat out of the pot!!! I loved the tour, it was fun and informative.  But I had had enough walking and standing by the fourth day! I hung in there but it was NOT easy! I couldn't wait to get back to the hotel and get off my feet. Olivia found a historic hotel tour that she wanted to see. I dropped the three of them off because there was absolutely NO place to park. I drove around for the hour they were in the tour and that worked for me. I don't think that I could have stood for another 60 minute tour! Dan and the girls said the tour was amazing!!  I am glad they enjoyed it! I thought that we would then go back to the hotel but the three of them had planned to go to a Chinese buffet place for dinner(ALWAYS about the FOOD!!) When we got there, somehow I was able to get up and down and get my food. The PD was annoying because my meds were wearing off for the day.  But I totally forgot about my Sciatica for the first time all day!!

Stiff Neck

        Today I woke up with a stuff neck! It is so painful that I forgot about my sciatica for a while. I took two Tylenol every few hours and maybe that is why my sciatica didn't bother me as much as it usually does.  I could feel the pain in my neck every time I moved! I didn't realize how much I move my head all day long until it was painful to do so. I got up at 7:30 because I had workers coming to clean my kitchen floor. I just can't do it any more!  They didn't get to my house until 9:30 because they are also working on my driveway and had to get filler and blacktop stuff!   I cleaned the kitchen while I waited for them. Tomorrow I just have to clean the family room and run my Roomba! My Parkinson's was definitely front and center, even with my stiff neck. I kept freezing in one spot and my  balance was way off!. It is really annoying to be cleaning a toilet and feeling  like you are going to fall into the bowl!! Yesterday I chatt...

Beautiful Day at the Cemetery Visiting our daughter Amy

         Today was an absolutely beautiful day, it was probably in the high seventies. When it's a nice day, we always take our folding chairs and sit at the cemetery for awhile. I had my book with me and Dan took the newspaper. On the front page was a sad story about two young women who used Heroin.  One young woman purchased the heroin and the other young woman died from an overdose.  The purchaser and her 17 year old sister left the young woman, an only child, in a bathroom in a fast food place when they couldn't revive her with water, etc. That young woman was found after they left and taken to a hospital where she died. Now,  the young woman who purchased the heroin  was sentenced to twenty something years in prison. Her 17 year old  sister testified against her and was set free after the trial  I think that is a rather severe sentence but a bright and beautiful young woman is dead forever.         ...

WARNING ABOUT GABAPENTIN AND PREGABALIN

Yesterday we went to see The Christmas Miracle at a sight and sound theater! It was amazing and we all had a nice time. Olya and her boyfriend Matt came with us, they met  us there because Olya went home with Matt on Friday.  Olivia and her "friend" Anthony also met us there.  I think they all had a nice time at the show.  We went to eat at the Waffle House after the performance! Yesterday was NOT a bad day for me with PD, but it was really bad with Sciatica.  I think my Sciatica is worse when it is cold! And it was really cold here yesterday!  I have been wearing my scarf and my gloves in the house, I have no idea whether it is PD related or not. I have a gas insert fireplace and I run it constantly so my house is usually warm, not sure why I am so so cold.          Today we went with my sister and her three adult children to see the play Buddy the Elf!
