In AGONY from SCIATICA

        Yesterday my sciatica was a tiny bit less than usual. I started to think...…"Maybe it is going away!"   I told Dan that for the first time since I could remember, my leg wasn't as bad as it had been! NO SUCH LUCK!! Today it is back with a vengeance. I could barely sleep last night, I kept waking up to my left leg, hip, and buttocks  throbbing and throbbing!!  I felt like I was going to wear off the wheels of my walker!

I was also off balance for some reason so I  had to use my walker to go back and forth to the bathroom!! I can only take 4.5 tablets of carbidopa-levodopa a day and I didn't want to waste them during the night. Olya and Matt are going back to college today so I wanted to make them breakfast. My leg was throbbing but I got everything out for pancakes and was ready to start making them. Olya came downstairs and said that Matt had ordered pancakes when they went out to breakfast with Olya's friend Lilly yesterday. Olya wanted us to make something else! So Dan went to Acme and bought eggs and Canadian bacon!  My pain is through the roof today!! I tried to ignore it and push through it but today it took center stage. I got everything ready again but I had a great deal of difficulty standing so Olya made the eggs for her and for Matt and then for Dan.  The breakfast was delicious(Always about the food) and everyone helped clean up!  Olivia doesn't usually come downstairs before noon on her days off but she came down after Matt called her down.
        I am trying to figure out WHY OH WHY my pain is so bad today!! I didn't do anything significant yesterday. I was home doing wash most of the day and then Dan and I went out to look at a special hair dryer at Bed, bath, and Beyond.  The Dyson hair dryer claims to be lightweight and dry hair in half the time.  Since she works in a dry bar salon, cutting down on drying time would allow her to take more clients in a day and make more money.  It costs $400 so I don't know if it is really worth it or not! I don't want Olivia to get carpal tunnel in her wrists.  I think I will call Olivia's boss and ask him if he thinks it is worth it or if he knows anywhere that I can buy it cheaper!
        I am waiting to take two Tylenol until late afternoon because I have book club tonight and I really want to go! I didn't care for the book but it is part of being in a book club.  We read Hour of the Bees.

  I would never had read it on my own but I will enjoy discussing it with the other members!
        Book Club was so much fun!!  I had to take my stupid walker with me because I was off balance again. No one liked the book. It was so much fun discussing what we didn't like about the book!!
