Saturday and Neck Pain

More uplifting music!
After I got the EKG of my lower extremities, I have had extra pain!  I would NEVER ever have that test again. The test was for my pain management doc to see which of my nerves was most herniated/damaged.  AT least it is over even though I am suffering the after effects of it.  The doc who performed the test told me that he did NOT believe in lasers. But it is the ONLY thing that seems to have helped me at all!
Last night after I got up to go to the bathroom, I had trouble getting back into bed. I sort of have to jump up a little to get in bed because my bed is high. I sort of jumped in and landed on my head first which turned under and my neck took most of the brunt of my weight! OUCH!! Now I have terrible neck pain, just what I need!! I am glad it didn't happen when I fell on the floor the last time! At least the bed cushioned part of my fall.  I went for a laser treatment on Fri and then felt a tiny bit better until the neck problem last night! I think I should be hooked up to a laser 24/7.  Dan got  a stool from the basement and put it next to my bed! I just hope that I don't trip over it in the middle of the night!
Last night I went  out to dinner with my dinner group.  There were only four of us because most of the others had family events, etc. But we had so much fun!! I just love going out with these women.  They were saying that years ago we couldn't wait for our kids to grow up and now we wish they were younger. I am just fine with the ages of my children. I just wish that Amy was here to go through life events.
On Monday my daytime bereaved moms group is coming to my house for our candle lighting service.  Priscilla is coming over to bake cookies tomorrow night. I need some cookies for my Monday group, and cookies for my college friends on Fri night and cookies for my besties annual Christmas dinner on Wed. night this week!   I hope that my PD does not really act up tomorrow. All day I have been pitching forward when I walked in my house.

Today I finished wrapping gifts. I am almost ready for Christmas. I have a few things that I ordered online that haven't arrived yet but other than those few items I am finished buying and wrapping!!  When you have PD, everything takes longer. It is difficult just to get down on the floor to wrap presents or to get up to get more rolls of paper or scissors or tape. PD just robs me of a normal life.  Every movement is slow and difficult!  Adding Sciatica to the mix makes it even harder to function.  For most of the afternoon, I just took it easy and read my book and rested on the couch. For the library book club we are reading 1984.  It is certainly NOT  a page turner by any means but it is an OK read!
