IT'S A NEW DAY
Today is a new day and I am going to try to enjoy the day. I filled two boxes for Goodwill. I am doing my best to de-clutter and get rid of things I don't need or don't use! The busier I am, the more I forget about my Sciatica and Parkinson's. When my Sciatica was really bad, I would take a short break and sit on the couch and just let my leg rest. Renee called me, she was close by because she had met a friend for brunch. She stopped at Whole Foods and bought two Pumpkins. We had fun decorating them and chatting! I knew Olivia would not like that she wasn't there decorating and carving a pumpkin too! And she did complain to me about it!! Renee didn't finish so she took her pumpkin home to finish carving! After Renee left, I filled another box of stuff for Goodwill!
Last night we had workers come and help me clean out the attic. Thank goodness they are both strong! They brought EVERYTHING , except the Christmas decorations, down from the attic. My leg kept throbbing but I just worked through the pain. I didn't know if the trash men would take the huge load we had out for pickup but thankfully they did!!
Today was an even better day. I got up, showered and dressed. I had to go to Home Depot and get stain for the basement paneling. I leaned on a cart in the store for balance. When I was checking out I dropped my credit card on the ground. The cashier was really nice and picked it up for me. She asked em if I was OK, I thought I looked and acted normal. I told her that I had Parkinsons's and that is why I dropped the card, etc. She said that she had noticed me walking funny. I thought I had been walking fine. She wanted to get someone to help me out to my car but I said no thank you, I am fine. Now I will need to pay strict attention to how I walk and hold onto a shopping cart!!!
Tonight I went out to dinner with my dinner group friends.
We had the best time chatting and laughing. And the pizza was delicious, one of the best I have ever had!! My friend Jackie picked me up so that I didn't have to drive and I really appreciated it! She also had Helen and Carol in the car so the party started before we got to the restaurant!!!! There was a small elevator outside because the restaurant had a lot of steps. The elevator was for handicapped people. My friend Carol and I rode in it. It was a strange feeling riding in it because it was so small and it was outside and completely open from the waist up!
