FALLING OFF OF A CHAIR!!

I have had a few very painful days!! If I am doing something, it takes my mind off of my pain for a short bit!

On Sunday, I went out to lunch with my three long time best friends for Jackie's birthday!! We surprised her with a birthday card!!(LOL , we signed it in front of her!!)  I had to take my walker but while  was sitting there laughing and chatting with my friends, I forgot that I was a Parkinson's person! Of course, the moment I stood up, the pain and my quirky balance reminded me that I have PD and Sciatica!  I wish I could have sat there forever because I felt like my old pain-free and sciatica free self.

Skinny Carol's delicious dessert!!

After the birthday lunch, Dan and I went to the cemetery to visit with Amy. I know that all of the angels that we left for her will probably be gone by next Sunday but I will just buy her more.

Yesterday was Labor Day.  We had a barbecue with my sister, brother-in-law, Renee, and my friends Joni  and Lee! I made a chocolate sugar free  fat free cake. I used a castle mold and it came out  so cute and was so delicious!   I made fruit salad and  Joni brought two salads, Kathy brought two  ice creams,  and Dan grilled. Everything was delicious!
I had such a wonderful time because my PD is hidden when I am sitting! And my sciatica doesn't hurt as much when I am sitting! I just LOVE the Dogfather shirt that Lee was wearing! so  so cute!!
Last night Dan and Olivia both went to bed early! I was sitting at my computer and had a handful of potato chips on a napkin on my lap!  Of course I dripped one onto the floor. I wasn't even thinking and I bent over to get it. I know that I can't bend over because I will fall over. I guess I had Parkinson's bran and forgot that!! I totally fell forward and kept going. I was just about on the floor and I was leaning into my lightweight computer table.  I was trying to get away from the table because I didn't want to have my computer on the floor. I finally grabbed onto the printer table and held on with a death grip while I tried to get up. I was so off balance that I could only pull myself up a tiny bit at a time.  It took me about five minutes to get up and back into my chair. And of course, the rest of the potato chips were on the rug!!! Then I got a broom and swept them up.  I should just have left the one chip on the floor!!!!!!!!
