YIKES! YIKES! YIKES! Parkinson's and the REDNECK BAT TRAP!!

Dan is away. Yesterday was a bad Parkinson's and Sciatica day.  All of my movements were sooooo  slow. I got a mammogram  and that was the highlight/best part of my day!! (And that was extremely painful)  Just driving wore me out and having to stand for the mammogram was so awful because my sciatica was at it's worst! When I got home in the late afternoon, I just wanted to sit and rest on the couch!
We have had six bats in our house.  I saw the fifth one come out of the fireplace.  It looked like a big fat black blob until it got up and started flying around.  I think Dan caught it in two cups but I ran out of the room! I taped the fireplace with packaging tape!! Then another bat got in our house, I am not sure how, but I think from the attic!  I called in Terminix and they came yesterday.  The guy couldn't find any bat droppings anywhere in my house. He just wanted to get me to sign a two year contract for $8,000.  He was out of his freaking mind! I am fairly certain that a bat nest is in one chimney, we have two chimneys! One is the original fireplace chimney and then there is a small one in it or next to it for the gas fireplace insert.  The bats are not in the insert fireplace chimney, they are in the other one.  Last night my cats kept staring at the fireplace!! They are bat finders!! I yelled for Olivia to come down and help me because I heard a bat in the fireplace screen! I got more packaging tape and when we used up the second entire roll, I used masking tape because that was all I had!!! My sciatica was killing me but I taped through the pain. I was totally off balance but I taped through that too!Olivia and I actually saw the bat climbing up the screen.   Olivia and I kept screaming, I actually was screaming louder and longer than she was!! It was trying to get out from the screen into our house. I kept taping, it kept trying to put it's foot or wing out.

We had the broom like it was going to protect us or something!!!

Then we went upstairs and got a chair and Olivia taped the opening from the attic into our house. I couldn't stand on it because I am so off balance most of the time!!! When Olya got home from her girlfriend's house, we had her do another round of tape on the attic door.  We have used up three big rolls of packaging tape, Olya had another roll in her room!!  I keep looking at my once beautiful fireplace doors and they look like a redneck trap!! I guess I can blame it on my poor balance and pain but it still looks awful!!

My friend Debbie sent us a gift box today!! She wrote a note to my cats!!!  She sent two packages of cat food for my cats.  SHE IS TOO FUNNY FOR WORDS!!!  She sent candy for Olivia's friend Lou for helping Dan catch a bat!! Debbie gave me the biggest laugh when I read her note!!!! Thank you for that, Debbie!! The chocolate made me forget about my pain for a few minutes and I keep laughing about the note!!
