SI JOINT INJECTION

        Today I had an SI Joint injection from my pain management doctor. Right now I have no pain but I think it is from the anesthesia! I am just so so so happy to not have pain even if it only lasts a few hours! I will take ANY BREAK from pain!Image result for image SI INJECTION  That red mark is where my pain starts and travels down the outside of my left leg! That red line doesn't even come close to illustrating the pain from that area! The last time I had a shot, I had about 50-60% less pain for about 3 weeks and it was SO wonderful. 
         Yesterday I started Speech therapy for my Parkinson's. She gave me homework to do but we lost power so I couldn't do them.  Now I will try to do them at least twice today.  I think my voice is loud enough.  Apparently a score of 70 is average/acceptable and my score was between 65-68.  The therapists think that my voice will eventually get smaller and softer so I should strengthen my vocal chords now.  The therapist who came yesterday was so LOUD that her voice hurt my ears!
        We lost our power yesterday due to a really violent storm. Dan thinks a tornado went through our area. There are huge trees down all over the place and roads closed everywhere! We have a generator so I am able to use my computer for awhile! Dan hooked up the generator to my computer, the refrigerator, the family room TV and the hot water tank! We can only hook up four things to the generator.  Fortunately I ran my Roomba before the power went out. Tomorrow is July 4th and  we are having a few people over for a barbecue and to swim!  We invited Frankie's family but they aren't coming.

I think Olya has to work tomorrow, but she gets off by 2 pm.  I started to set up for it yesterday and I am so glad about that! I was planning to make fat free, sugar free, cholesterol free  brownies but I can't do that until I get power back for my oven!! When we were camping, Dan bought a one hundred dollar box of fireworks at Walmart or Target.  I love flowers, he loves Fireworks!!!

Stiff Neck

        Today I woke up with a stuff neck! It is so painful that I forgot about my sciatica for a while. I took two Tylenol every few hours and maybe that is why my sciatica didn't bother me as much as it usually does.  I could feel the pain in my neck every time I moved! I didn't realize how much I move my head all day long until it was painful to do so. I got up at 7:30 because I had workers coming to clean my kitchen floor. I just can't do it any more!  They didn't get to my house until 9:30 because they are also working on my driveway and had to get filler and blacktop stuff!   I cleaned the kitchen while I waited for them. Tomorrow I just have to clean the family room and run my Roomba! My Parkinson's was definitely front and center, even with my stiff neck. I kept freezing in one spot and my  balance was way off!. Beautiful Day at the Cemetery Visiting our daughter Amy

         Today was an absolutely beautiful day, it was probably in the high seventies. When it's a nice day, we always take our folding chairs and sit at the cemetery for awhile. I had my book with me and Dan took the newspaper. On the front page was a sad story about two young women who used Heroin.  One young woman purchased the heroin and the other young woman died from an overdose.  The purchaser and her 17 year old sister left the young woman, an only child, in a bathroom in a fast food place when they couldn't revive her with water, etc. That young woman was found after they left and taken to a hospital where she died. Now,  the young woman who purchased the heroin  was sentenced to twenty something years in prison. Her 17 year old  sister testified against her and was set free after the trial  I think that is a rather severe sentence but a bright and beautiful young woman is dead forever.         ...

WARNING ABOUT GABAPENTIN AND PREGABALIN

Yesterday we went to see The Christmas Miracle at a sight and sound theater! It was amazing and we all had a nice time. Olya and her boyfriend Matt came with us, they met  us there because Olya went home with Matt on Friday.  Olivia and her "friend" Anthony also met us there.  I think they all had a nice time at the show.  We went to eat at the Waffle House after the performance! Yesterday was NOT a bad day for me with PD, but it was really bad with Sciatica.  I think my Sciatica is worse when it is cold! And it was really cold here yesterday!  I have been wearing my scarf and my gloves in the house, I have no idea whether it is PD related or not. I have a gas insert fireplace and I run it constantly so my house is usually warm, not sure why I am so so cold.          Today we went with my sister and her three adult children to see the play Buddy the Elf!
