CAN PARKINSON'S SYMPTOMS SUBSIDE OR GO INTO REMISSION??
On Wed. July 3rd I received a steroid SI Joint injection from my pain management doctor! I had a bad reaction and had very bad gastrointestinal issues for three days. I haven't seen my doc yet because the following day was July 4th and my doc's office is closed until Monday. Today I finally feel a little better and I am eating, really eating!! I probably am eating too much! However, because I was so sick, I stopped taking any meds for the last few days because I couldn't keep anything down. Today I noticed that I felt different when I woke up! Maybe it is a fluke but my Parkinson's symptoms seem less! I haven't used my walker at all and I am not doing the two step shuffle! My walking is far from perfect but it is better! My handwriting is better! Was there something in the steroid injection or the propofol that was able to diminish some of my symptoms? I went to 3 neurologists who all diagnosed me with Parkinson's so it wasn't just one. Two of them are experts in their fields and had long waiting lists to get to see them for an appointment. I can't wait to go to my neurologist in two weeks to tell him about it! Maybe it will wear off in a day or two but for now, I will take it!! I feel more like my old self than ever before. However, I still do have my sciatica pain for the most part, it has subsided a bit I think but still hurts so much!
