Bereaved Mom Meeting

         Today was our monthly bereaved mom meeting.  It wound up being only Adriana and I but it was really nice. I love Adriana, she is so sweet.  She brought a writing that Adriana's daughter's friend wrote about her deceased daughter Aimee. It was so sweetly written that it made me cry.  The little girl truly loved her friend Aimee.  We decided to go to to a famous Garden for our last meeting of the year.  I am busy the second Wed of the month so we will go the third Wed of next month. I have three free passes and one person is a member. so if more people go, they can just split the cost of a ticket.  I talked Adriana into joining the library book club. I will meet her outside and go in with her the first time.  I think she will like it.  Then she can continue to go or not ever go again. That will be up to her but I think she will enjoy getting out of the house.  When you are a bereaved parent, everything is an effort.
         I spoke to Olya today.  She is going crazy over how much work she has to do before the end of the term.  That is college!! You never feel like there is enough time to do everything!!  We will only have two years of college left to pay!! We paid 4 years for Joe, 1 year for Amy due to her death, 4 years for Renee, 1 year for Olivia, and then a year of Cosmetology School for Olivia, and two years so far for Olya, 2 more to go. When Olya is finished, we will have paid for 15 years of college or Beauty School!   If we  didn't have kids, Dan and I would be super rich!! Olya and her current roommate Elise were supposed to find an apartment and live together next year.  Olya heard her roommate talking on the phone to another girl, making plans to get an apartment with her and two other girls. Olya confronted her and Elise said she decided to live with the friends she hangs around with. That was a mean thing to do because she and Olya had been looking for apartments together. That would have been fine but Elise never told Olya. I felt really bad for Olya because she is so sweet and nice and would NEVER have done that to anyone. Another girl, Caylee,  had asked Olya to room with her so Olya called Caylee and she said she was more than welcome to room with her! Olya and Caylee and another person got an apartment together!  Caylee's father and brother and stepfather are going to take their furniture to college for them.  Caylee has living room furniture and we have a kitchen table and chairs and they each have bedroom furniture. In the meantime, karma intervened.  Elise had a falling out with one of the girls and the other two sort of stayed friendly with that girl.  That girl decided not to room with Elise so Elise has to pay twice as much towards the rent! Elise is not happy because she told Olya that the two girls really like to party and she is worried about getting her schoolwork done. Oh well, she shouldn't have thrown Olya over! Olya is still nice to Elsie, I would NOT have spoken to her again!!
         I took extra pain meds today because I wanted to be OK for my meeting this morning! I went to my morning meeting.  Then I went to the chiropractor.  I got laser treatment today on my back and hip and that always feels so wonderful. I am going to look on Amazon to see how expensive it would be to buy one.  I think it is probably out of my price range but I will see! I also did not need to use my walker until later in the day.   I am always happy about that!!
      Tomorrow my in-home PT comes to my house. I have been doing the exercises she told me to do.  I am the anal rules oriented type so I do what I am told!  This weekend is the PSU Blue and White game.  We are going to meet Dan's two brothers and their adult kids and their little kids there so it will be fun to tailgate with all of them.  Renee and Adam are also going so we will have quite a group there!
