Sleeping the Day Away

I don't know why but Tylenol makes me sleepy.  I only take it when my sciatica pain is intense. I took one today and slept for almost three hours.  That means I will be up most of the night. I also take 800mg of Gabapentin each day and they make me sleepy too!  My pain management doc cut back on my Gabapentin because I was having double vision! I slept last night from 4 am until 9 am.  I watched old reruns of Law and Order SVU.

I told Olivia to drive to work today because I am not going out until later.  Tonight is Designer Bag Bingo with my friend Candy!  Candy is the most joyful and kind person I have ever met.  She is always in a good mood!  I don't know how she does it, I don't think she ever gets mad at anyone!! And she is so funny!!  Candy is Italian and has a million Italian relatives.  I use to always say to her, "if anything happens to me and I die, bring your relatives so I have a lot of people at my funeral.  When Amy, died, I said to her, I guess I didn't need all of your relatives!  In the midst of my grief, she got me to laugh by saying,  "All these people came for Amy, not you!"  LOL, so true, people came out of the woodwork for Amy.  Girls she went to summer camp with years ago came to her funeral and lots of her teachers from every grade, I think.  Olivia has to work but Olya is coming with me.  Last year Olya won the door prize which was a really cute Jessica Simpson bag.  Olya said she didn't like the bag so I told her I would take it.  A few people told her how much they liked the bag.  The next day the bag was filled with her things and she started using it!  Funny how that happened, huh?
The other day Jackie and Carol and Nancy and I were talking about our childhoods and how we NEVER EVER spoke back to our parents.  When I was in fourth grade, my dad bought me a Popeye schoolbag.  I had to walk to school and carried the Popeye picture  schoolbag backwards so no one could see it!  My friend Jackie's dad bought her a red vinyl coat when she was in fourth grade and she had to wear it and act like she LOVED it. The only thing we ever said to our parents was THANK YOU!!! We never said we didn't like a gift or clothes or toys, etc.  We were just grateful for what we received.(and if we weren't really grateful, and there were many times we weren't, we acted like we were!)
I am still getting ready for Book Club on Sun. night.  Everything I do takes me so much time due to my Parkinson's, it is so annoying!!  I hand-washed my good glasses, and set up part of the table.  I run my Roomba almost every day so the rugs and floors are always clean.  I smelled a little bit of something burnt while the Roomba was going. I hope I don't need a new motor because I am sure it will be expensive, but I would sell my plasma if I had to!  If anything is wrong with it, I will probably just replace it. I gave Adam and Renee  a Roomba for Christmas. I gave them a gift receipt so I never knew if they kept it or not.  Adam posted a video with the Roomba running and said...I finally got help cleaning the house!! I am glad he likes it and is using it!
