NO WALKER TODAY!!!!

Yesterday was the first day in months that I could walk around my house WITHOUT my walker and it was just fabulous!! I am so, so, so excited! I started off using a cane last summer, then I had to progress to a walker!! I have not been able to walk anywhere without my walker for months and months! Today I just felt different when I got up.  I used my walker but didn't feel like I needed to lean on it as much! So I started to walk a tiny bit without it. A little slow and painful but I was really walking! I had to keep stopping but I still feel like I was making a lot of progress today!! Who knows what tomorrow will bring? I am just happy for today!  I am certainly NOT walking like I use to walk but I will take ANY degree of progress!! I would say that I walked without my walker for over two hours and that is A LOT for me!!
Dan has been looking at scooters online for me to use when we go camping or to the beach.  He found one on Amazon with a little seat that he thought would be good for me.  Today I said to him,"I guess we won't need to buy a scooter because maybe I am going to be able to walk again without needing a walker or scooter.  He told me that maybe I wasn't the only one who wanted a scooter.  I asked if it was Olivia who wanted one and he said "no, it was him!!" I told him that he didn't need a scooter and he said, "I didn't say I needed a scooter, I said I wanted a scooter!"
Later we went to my sister's house for dinner and to celebrate Natasha's 21st birthday! She is pregnant so she couldn't drink any wine or beer! My sister got her 21 balloons and taped money to each one, it was really cute!  Natasha didn't notice the money until we sort of pointed it out o her!  Then she went out around and found all the money and was thrilled!
Today I went and got assessed for the Rock Steady gym class! I walked around in the class for almost an hour while I got assessed.  I am going to start in the lowest class due to my sciatica.  My Parkinson's is annoying but doesn't really prevent me from doing much, but the sciatica certainly does!!
