Focusing on Today

Last night was our book club meeting. I just love every woman in that group!! They are all so nice and so funny!! I love our book club discussions, I think we spent more time bashing Trump that talking about the book. Everyone liked the book Becoming by Michelle O'Bama and learned a lot about her as a person.  She was a really good writer and truly adores her husband.  She never comes out and says how wonderful he is, but it is apparent in all of her writing. Our country was so much calmer and so much better run when O'Bama was in the White House.
Everyone brought such wonderful treats and snacks. It's always about the food! I probably ate a month's worth of calories in one sitting! No one wanted to take the rest of their treats home so I gave them to Olivia to take to school today.  I gave her half of a cheesecake.  Dan took two pieces for himself first and put them in the fridge! I also gave her a bag of pizzelles and cookies, chocolate eclairs, and candy!  I am sure her friends will enjoy the treats. If the snacks were here, I'd be eating them now instead of writing this blog!!

I was so happy that my friends stayed and helped me clean up!  That was so nice and so kind. I usually like to do everything myself but now I gladly take the offered help because it takes me so long to do anything!  When I was just sitting there chatting with everyone, I totally forgot I had Parkinson's.  Everyone needs nice friends to survive in this world! When I got up and tried to move, I was quickly reminded of my disease.  It is difficult to carry anything while using a walker.
Something is wrong with my computer and I can't download any photos.  Dan tried to fix it for me and couldn't so I will call the computer place tomorrow! I can't add the photos I want to add to this blog or to Facebook, etc.
Today Dan drove me to my chiropractor appointment.  I was so glad because I was in so much pain afterwards.  Then we ran a few errands and went to pick up Olivia,  When we got home, I fell asleep for four hours!! I could NOT believe it was 8:45 p m when I woke up.  I think I will be up VERY late tonight.  I never ever use to nap in the afternoon. I can only think it is a combination of Parkinson's and all of my meds! I will have to take the medical marijuana drops to go to sleep tonight! I wanted to be well rested so I could go to the Rock Steady Boxing class for people with Parkinson's tomorrow morning. I am going to go watch the class and see if I think I can do it.  I just have NO strength or energy anymore but this class really helped my friend Dianne who also has Parkinson's.
