WARNING ABOUT GABAPENTIN AND PREGABALIN

Yesterday we went to see The Christmas Miracle at a sight and sound theater! It was amazing and we all had a nice time. Olya and her boyfriend Matt came with us, they met  us there because Olya went home with Matt on Friday.  Olivia and her "friend" Anthony also met us there.  I think they all had a nice time at the show.  We went to eat at the Waffle House after the performance! Yesterday was NOT a bad day for me with PD, but it was really bad with Sciatica.  I think my Sciatica is worse when it is cold! And it was really cold here yesterday!  I have been wearing my scarf and my gloves in the house, I have no idea whether it is PD related or not. I have a gas insert fireplace and I run it constantly so my house is usually warm, not sure why I am so so cold.          Today we went with my sister and her three adult children to see the play Buddy the Elf! Stiff Neck

        Today I woke up with a stuff neck! It is so painful that I forgot about my sciatica for a while. I took two Tylenol every few hours and maybe that is why my sciatica didn't bother me as much as it usually does.  I could feel the pain in my neck every time I moved! I didn't realize how much I move my head all day long until it was painful to do so. I got up at 7:30 because I had workers coming to clean my kitchen floor. I just can't do it any more!  They didn't get to my house until 9:30 because they are also working on my driveway and had to get filler and blacktop stuff!   I cleaned the kitchen while I waited for them. Tomorrow I just have to clean the family room and run my Roomba! My Parkinson's was definitely front and center, even with my stiff neck. I kept freezing in one spot and my  balance was way off!. It is really annoying to be cleaning a toilet and feeling  like you are going to fall into the bowl!! Yesterday I chatt...

BUSY DAY and Dealing with the PAIN

        Sunday I got up and showered. It takes me about an  hour to shower. That is so annoying but it is now my Parkinson's and Sciatica controlled life! I use to be able to shower in 15 minutes and off I could go. Even when I get out of the shower, it is so difficult to dry off and get dressed!  After I finished dressing, which is such a chore, I went to Wegmans and got fruit salad for tomorrow because my daytime bereaved mom's group is having a candle lighting ceremony to honor our deceased children. All week I have prepared for this event because it takes me so long to do anything!       The candle lighting was beautiful and bittersweet.  Everyone brought something to read and had something to say. I got the Compassionate Friends Worldwide Candle lighting ceremony and we read a lot of that.  All of the moms loved their children so much and when we are together we can freely talk about our deceased children.  I think we a...
