PD and CORONAVIRUS and PD WEBINAR

This Coronavirus is new for all of us. In our lifetime, we have never dealt with this type of enemy.  I know it is not a good thing to be obsessed with the news but it is difficult to turn away when there could be new info.  Personally, I think Trump downplayed it and referred to it as a hoax and now we are playing catch-up.   He says that he wants everyone to remain calm, easy for him to say! He knows that he will get a bed in a hospital and he and his family will get ventilators if needed. That is not true for the rest of us if the virus spreads and spreads!
My PD is not as crazy as it has been.  My balance is never great but it isn't going wacky right now!  I didn't do any two or three step shuffles today and that makes it a good day!!  My appetite is good, actually it is too good!  I slept for a few hour straight last night and I always feel better with PD when I get some good sleep!  The Michael J Fox Parkinson's site is having a webinar tomorrow so sign up and register!  I am going to try to remember to log on and see if there is any info we all need to know!

Coronavirus for the Parkinson's Community

Thursday, March 19, 2020, 12 to 1 p.m. ET

As our world faces the coronavirus pandemic, we have decided to pivot this week’s webinar topic to cover this topic.

Read our
Ask the MD: Coronavirus and Parkinson's blog post.

Join our webinar to hear from a varied panel of experts, ask questions, and share information and suggestions around:
  • what we know about the risk of coronavirus for people with Parkinson's
  • how people can manage the challenges and isolation this time may bring
  • how we expect this time may impact research
We will cover our original topic, environment's role in Parkinson's disease, in a future webinar. Watch previous Third Thursdays Webinars anytime on demand at www.michaeljfox.org/webinars.

The MJFF webinar series has been made possible through the leadership of members of our
Parkinson's Disease Education Consortium in conjunction with The Albert B. Glickman Parkinson's Disease Education Program. Support from these partners allows us to furnish high-quality educational content to the Parkinson's community while maintaining our commitment to allocate donor dollars to high-impact research. Editorial control of all content published by The Michael J. Fox Foundation rests solely with the Foundation.
