Another comment of "well, you don't have Parkinson's!!"

Yesterday I had to go see an eye surgeon about removing the cataract in my right eye. My retina specialist is also going to remove a wrinkle from my eye so I will have both surgeries done at once.  Dan went with me because the appointment was over an hour away.  First I was seen by the NP who went over my meds and physical/medical history. She read each med and said "you are taking this for"...and I said yes.  Then she said "I see that you are taking Carbidopa-Levodopa and I know that is used for off label uses. You don't have Parkinson's so why did your doctor prescribe it for you?" I told her that I did have Parkinson's!  She said...."are you sure, who diagnosed you?" I told her that I was absolutely sure and that the head of neurology diagnosed me and that I had gone for a second opinion and received the  same diagnosis. She just looked at me so strangely. Then she moved on but I felt like she kept watching me.  I don't have tremors, at least not now.  I think most people associate tremors with Parkinson's.  But even people with tremors take meds that can disguise the tremors.

Today I went for another laser treatment.  I really hope the treatments work because I am sick and tired of being in pain!! Four treatments down and at least 11 more to go!  I don't feel much different. The bottom of my left leg is now hurting and that is new pain, I have no idea whether or not it is from the laser treatments or is just a new pain!  After my laser treatments I went to Kohl's and did some Christmas shopping. Then I came home and wrapped some gifts. I am trying to wrap as I  buy so that it doesn't get overwhelming!! I have sold a few things on Marketplace and a woman came to pick up some purses.  I don't get it, at least 4 different people said they were coming but never showed up!! I have been listing an item or two everyday! Today I made $30 and yesterday I made $18!  I will give all of the cash I make to the girls in their stockings!
When I was in the hospital, I  gave Dan my medical cards and driver's license because I didn't have my purse with me and I didn't want to lose them. Yesterday when I was to the cataract surgeon I didn't have my cards and I remember asking Dan for them.  He INSISTED that I never gave him the cars.  I knew I did but today I started making phone calls to get duplicates and it takes so long to go through the websites and find the forms and/or information to order duplicate cards.  Dan called while I was searching for a duplicate driver's license form and told me to check his jacket that was hanging in the garage and "LO and BEHOLD" the cards were all in there! I guess I was right, once again!!
