Visit with Pain Management Doctor

Today I had an appointment with my pain management doctor.  I really like her because she really listens to what I say. She also answers all of my questions.  Today was wet and rainy in the morning.  My sciatica was really bothering me and the pain was terrible!!  When I went in to talk to my doc, she told me that the rainy weather was probably affecting my sciatica and give it a few weeks and then get back to her. It stopped raining this afternoon and my pain is the same or worse.  It seems like the injections only work for a few weeks for me. After my next shot, which she won't give to me until September, I will go to the pain management specialist who does radio ablation which burns some of the nerves.  I can only get one more steroid injection for this year so I don't want to get it until I can barely move from the pain!  When I spoke to my neurologist about having no Parkinson's symptoms for almost a week after my steroid injection for SI Joint pain,  he sort of blew it off as a coincidence.  I think it was from the propofol for anesthesia.  When I spoke to my pain management doc, she really listened.  She said she had never heard anyone say that before.  People in other online groups have told me that the same thing happens to them from anesthesia! And she said she is going to ask her other Parkinson's patients if anything like that happens to them, She said that maybe one day twenty years down the road that they will find some type of causal link.
After  got my hair cut, I met two of my best friends for lunch! Haircuts always look great when you are at the salon.
The cosmetologist cut my hair shorter than I wanted.  I wanted my hair to just be above my shoulder but she cut it to chin length!!  I am wondering how awful it will look when I have to style it myself!!
Jackie's husband Bill joined us. They lost power from 8 am this morning!! Bill is just the nicest guy ever!!He cracked us up with stories about his teen years!!!!  He went to a college in Iowa or Idaho and he traveled to and from the college by train.  When he was coming home for a semester break he wanted his dad to buy the return ticket at the same time!! His dad said, no, they would get one for him when he was going back. Of course, when it was time for Bill to go back to school, there were ONLY standing room tickets.  He had to sit on his suitcase for about six hours to Pittsburgh!   In his class of five hundred graduates he was something like 498! When he went to college, he shaped up and made the Dean's list every semester!!  He is such an excellent speaker!!Lunch was great!
Today I had speech therapy at my home after my lunch outing!. My speech therapist thinks I am speaking louder with more intent. I don't notice a different so I guess that is good!! I notice that I am more thoughtful about not letting my voice go too low! I told my speech therapist about our bats!1 She cracked up and said she never heard of anyone having so many bats in their house!!We had 4 last year and two so far this year! Since I taped up the place where I actually saw one come in, I am HOPING that is the end of BATS IN OUR HOUSE!!!
