Parkinson's Gait

My Parkinson's gait is so freaking annoying!! Today I knew my meds were waning but I wanted to stop into Rite Aid. I wasn't in there two minutes when I started doing the two step shuffle.  Then I slid and started doing the OMG, I feel Like A Freaking Idiot walk!!!  I don't know how I was walking but it was fast and totally off balance. I switched directions ASAP and headed out the door with the small amount of dignity I had left!  I know people were looking at me, they probably thought I was loaded!! I felt like I was. There was barely any control in steady type walking. After I got into the car and took my next dose of meds, I was OK in about ten minutes or so.
         I started decorating for Olya's 21st birthday.
It is on June 1st.  I only invited a few close friends, my family and Matt's family(Olya's boyfriend's family) because I don't want my friends to think  I want them to come to bring gifts for Olya.  My sister is going to the casino for the weekend so she won't be there but her three kids and their significant others will be here so that is all good. You can't make people want to come!   Renee has to work, she never really knows her schedule too far in advance and she took off for two weeks to go to Alaska. My niece Erica brought a game called Telestrations the last time we were all together.
It was so much fun so I bought the game yesterday so we have something to do.  I'll have to keep my eye on the beer and wine because all of the kids will not be 21!
Today my Parkinson's gait continued to be off. It is so annoying to not just put one foot in front of the other.  I can't stand it but it isn't as bad as when my sciatica was in full bloom!  Someone in a sciatica facebook group told me that acupuncture cured her of painful sciatica that she had for 6 months!!  I tried a few sessions of acupuncture and got nowhere with the pain. I also tried the Hyperbaric Chamber and that did nothing except empty my bank account!! I tried chiropractor and deep tissue laser therapy and they both helped for a day or two, maybe three, but then it was back full bloom! I ran out of sessions that my insurance paid for so I stopped going. I am a little better but I want more pain relief!!
Our pool is now open for the season.  The pool is heated but it takes about a week to get to a temperature I can stand!!
I have so many wonderful friends.  So many of my friends gave Olivia a graduation from Cosmetology School gift! I was so touched!!! She is now saving money to buy a car.  She has a few thousand saved.  I told her that when she saved $3,000 that we would match the $3,000 and then she would have about $12,000 with what she had already saved.  So far she has $1,000 saved towards a car but that money is burning a huge hole in her pocket!! I hope she keeps saving!!!!
