Parkinson's Parkinson's Parkinson's

Today I really thought about and was bothered by my Parkinson's three times. I was working in the kitchen and Parkinson's slowed me down/ I use to be able to get a cake baked and ready to put in the oven in ten minutes. Now it takes me about 30 minutes  It takes me about three times as long to do simple things. It takes me longer because I can't carry as much, I can't walk as quickly, and I can't hold a heavy bowl when I have to empty it into the cake pan. I have to hold it against the pan and let it drip into it. I feel like my Parkinson's issues come in threes. I still am grateful that I am able to bake!
My son and his wife came into town today and are staying with us. My granddaughters are 8 and 10 so we played Telestrations.

The girls are really smart and could easily understand the directions!! They really liked the game. We all cracked up each time that we showed our booklets! We just cracked ourselves up.  Olivia and Olya played too so it was a really fun night for all of us! You get a word and draw a picture of it and pass it to the next person and they guess what it is, and they write it down; then they pass he booklet to the next person and that person draws a picture of what  the second person thought the picture was.  "Cat Nap" eventually turned into "Fat Seal." "Hidden Figure turned in Santa Claus!" Olya is a great artist so whoever got her picture first knew exactly what it represented!!
I set the table in the dining room for breakfast in the morning.  First, I had a lot of trouble just putting on the tablecloth, my hands don't work in coordination with my brain any more! Then I hard boiled the eggs and broke two of them.  Then Dan came home for lunch and ate the hard boiled eggs! I had him make more! And the third problem was that I had baked brownies and they broke when I took them out of the pan because I couldn't hold the pan correctly!! GRR!! But at least I could cut them into smaller pieces and they tasted heavenly!!  We are just having fruit, hard boiled eggs, blueberry/cranberry bread and cereal. We are all going to Renee's birthday party at a brewery tomorrow. It is supposedly a nice place with giant Legos and Jenga pieces and a huge outdoor playground for the kids.
My Parkinson's is ever present and I think I can file it under A for Annoyance. I had to dye my gray roots today. I have difficulty  parting my hair and I just started using bigger parts to cover fewer roots! I figure that as long as the grays are under the colored part of my hair on top,  who really cares?? I don't care at all if it can't be seen!  Then I had to shower to get the dye out of my hair, it takes me so long to shower because my brain and body don't connect the same way any more!!! Thirdly, I fell part way into the hamper because I was off balance. But I am still grateful that I can be independent!
Afterwards Olya brought down a big bin of photos of Dan and his brother growing up. My granddaughter Kaylee has beautiful curly hair and Dan wanted her to see a picture of his mom Berniece with her long curly hair so that Kaylee knew where she got her curly hair from!
Then Olya kept getting out more and  more old photos of Dan and his brothers.  Renee looksso much like Berniece, Dan;s mom,=.
Dan's mom labeled almost all of the photos! We had so much fun looking at the old photos and talking about them.  Dan's mom was so pretty as a young woman! She grew up in Wisconsin on a farm and that is where the family reunion is being held this summer.  We already got our plane tickets and I already booked a handicapped room for Dan and I.
